Codes of practice
If you’re assisting clients, you’ll find it useful to be aware of the requirements of key consumer protection codes.
As a minimum, in energy we suggest you look through the Energy Retail Code and the Victorian LPG Code and in water, the Customer Service Code – Metropolitan Retail and Regional Water Businesses and the Rural Water Customer Service Code.
That said, there are other important codes and guidelines too. You’ll find most of them on the website of the Essential Services Commission (ESC) under Energy and Water – codes and guidelines.
