The Board of the Energy and Water Ombudsman (Victoria) today announced that Ombudsman Cynthia Gebert has resigned from her role and will finish at EWOV in April 2022. Cynthia will take up the role of Ombudsman at the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman in May 2022.

Board Chair Paul Sheahan AM said, "The Board has commenced a search for Cynthia’s successor and will work to deliver a smooth transition.”

“Over the past ten years as Ombudsman, Cynthia has led EWOV through a very significant amount of change in response to movement in our operating, policy and regulatory environment. She has demonstrated the utmost integrity, excellent strategic foresight and passion for the growth and development of the EWOV team. As a result, EWOV is well positioned to continue to provide an independent, fair and accessible dispute resolution service that adapts to changes in customer, community and member expectations and the dynamics of the essential services markets.”
