The Energy and Water Ombudsman (Victoria) (EWOV) is a not-for-profit, independent and impartial dispute resolution service. We provide Victorian energy and water customers with free, accessible and informal dispute resolution. Your new role
As our new Senior Policy & Stakeholder Engagement Officer, you’ll ensure the visibility of consumer complaint trends, issues and data in a policy and regulatory setting, as well as across various stakeholders in the energy, water and consumer sectors. You’ll also have oversight and lead the Systemic Issue and Policy function to ensure EWOV is delivering on its strategic objectives.
You’ll use your creativity and wealth of knowledge of policy, (ideally in the energy sector) to further develop our policy and stakeholder engagement approach, ensuring it aligns with emerging complaint trends and our strategic objectives.
Using your excellent writing skills, highly developed communication and analytical skills you’ll execute a variety of content, including crafting compelling stories, submissions and reports for publication reaching wide audiences.
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll have a previous policy experience with the ability to apply your incredible skills to contribute to meaningful change in the energy sector and the Victorian community.
You’ll also be critical thinker, proactive, agile, adaptable, collaborative, have leadership expertise as well as strong communication skills across a wide range of stakeholders and audiences.
The following skills and experience will set you up for success in the role:
- demonstrated leadership of others to produce quality results
- understanding of State & Federal policy and regulatory environment in Australia
- ability to quickly draw compelling narrative from various data sources
- project management skills with well-developed time management skills
- exceptional attention to detail and capability in all written and verbal communication
