Estimated bills and meter access
A bill is estimated when there hasn't been an actual reading of the meter.
Customers may also be sent an estimated bill if they're on a monthly billing cycle —the meter is read every three months,
so the monthly bills are estimates, which are reconciled against the quarterly meter reading.
In our experience—and, we understand, the experience of community workers—estimated bills can be inconvenient and worrying for customers.
