The Essential Services Commission is Victoria's independent economic regulator of electricity, gas, water and sewerage and other essential services. The Commission's Energy Retail Code outlines the information that has to be provided on an energy retailer's bill while its Customer Service Code for Metropolitan Retail and Regional Water Businesses sets out the information required on a water company's bill. However, the bill format and layout can vary, and it is therefore best to refer to your energy retailer's/water company's website.
